Are We Done Testing Yet?
Testing is one of the dark arts of software and systems development. It is sometimes viewed as a necessary evil – almost as necessary and evil as requirements and project management. As a discipline onto itself, it can be varied and complex and merits its own corner of the industry, complete with sophisticated tools, methodologies, and career paths. But all too often it is an afterthought, and with traditional testing cycles pushed to the end of the project, easily chopped down to meet release dates.
So, there is a lot to say about testing, but I’m just setting the stage for this thought.
